TOPIC: THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 2
ANCHOR: PSALM 1:1-6
*A #DavidOfurum TEACHING*
Righteousness is the sum total of the paths which the righteous travels. The opposite tracks are the paths of unrighteousness. To travel the paths of righteousness, one needs to be armed with the right tools for navigating those paths. Those who travel the paths of unrighteousness do not possess or care about those tools while the righteous cannot do without them. Those tools include:
1. Right Standing (2Cor. 5:21, Eph. 4:24): Righteousness begins with positional acceptance before God; God counting you righteous for Christ’s sake.
2. Right Living: A righteous man’s life is governed by right motives (think right) (Ps. 139:23-24, 2Kgs 10:15-16), right speech (talk right) (Mat. 5:37, Eph. 4:29) and right actions (walk right) (1Pet. 3:12-13, Mic. 6:8).
3. Right Relationships (Ps. 1:1, 1 Cor. 15:33): A close attraction to the unrighteous is a clear departure from righteousness.
I pray for you: Receive grace to think right, talk right and walk right in Jesus’ name.
