#ALPHATALK 06.11.16

*A #DavidOfurum TEACHING*
Righteousness simply means being in the right with or right standing with God. It is not the same as doing good things and, in fact, is not based upon good deeds, even though good deeds result from righteousness. Essentially, all righteous people do good deeds but not all doers of good deeds are righteous. So righteousness is not so much about what you do but is all about who you are to God (2Cor. 5:21).
Abraham’s decision to align with God made him righteous just as your alignment with Jesus Christ makes you God’s righteousness (1Cor. 1:30). It is God’s righteousness you enjoy for being in a cordial relationship with Him (Phil. 3:9, 2Pet. 1:1).
You see, even when a man without Christ does good deeds in attempt to procure righteousness, his good deeds are loathsome to God because he is only faking righteousness; trying to do the good that righteous people naturally do by God’s ability, albeit using his own human ability (Phil. 1:11, Isa. 64:6, Prov. 14:34-BISHOPS).
I pray for you: May you always walk in the revelation and consciousness of who you are in Christ in Jesus’ name.
