TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 2:5
Today, EVANG. DAVID OFURUM teaches…
Every soldier knows the importance of precision in his conduct both in combat and regular life. Lack of military precision can be very expensive with both personal and group consequences. As soldiers of The Cross, it is important we act in precision to Scripturally prescribed conducts and avoid the following pitfalls and more in warfare along with their consequences:
1. Fasting without praying: This amounts to a hunger strike with no spiritual effect in combat (Mat. 17:21, Neh. 1:4).
2. Praying without faith: It is the prayer of faith that works, not just prayers, for without faith it is impossible to please God (Mk. 11:24, Jms. 5:14-15, Heb. 11:6).
3. Praying without the Word: God’s Word is the Sword of the Spirit. If your prayer therefore lacks Word content, it cannot hurt a fly (Eph. 6:17, Heb. 4:12).
I pray for you: You will no longer make avoidable mistakes in Jesus’ name.
